A Saudi Woman In Tech, a leader and professional in management, technology, digitalization, and the transformation of cities of the future, a profession based on dedicating over 15 years of study, research and application into practice. Today, Dr.Alawdah stands to be a national expert in IoT, Industry 4.0, Digital Twin and Smart Cities in Saudi Arabia. 

Dr. Alawdah is a consultant at Building Technology Division for Government and Privet Sector at Siemens, Saudi Arabia. Creating “Perfect Places”, by facilitating cities with solutions and services that utilize technology to improve the quality of life for citizens. Such solutions range from energy efficiency, smart mobility, smart girds, security, and building management systems.

Based on her believe in sharing knowledge and the importance of building up a tech community in Saudi Arabia, Dr. Alawdah joint the academic sector earlier in her career focusing on empowering women in Tech. By moving to the United States, she pursued Post graduate studies, and focus her research on smart city initiatives with an emphasis on its linkage to sustainability. She defined an overarching framework that bridge the gap between theories found in literature and actual practice in order to come up with a blue print for livable future cities. 

In 2013, Dr. Alawdah has been selected to publish her case study on Enterprise Architecture: Digital Enterprise & Internet of Things in Journal of Information Systems Education, United States. Among several published papers in International journals, her latest research titled “Smart Cities Initiatives and Linkage to Sustainability” Lawrence Technological University gained International recognition. 

Among few industry writers in the Middle Eastern region, Dr. Alawdah have been awarded for her editorials as a columnist in local and international newspapers, sharing knowledge and perspective towards the Kingdom Vision of 2030. 

Since 2012, she joined several International Organizations, to name few, the National Leadership Society NLS, Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers IEEE, and Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) in the United States.

In 2017, Dr.Alawdah was awarded as a winner of Prince Mohammed Bin Salman Challenge for digital entrepreneurship, and appointed as a member of Consultancy Council at Salam project at King Abdulaziz Center for National Dialogue KACND in Saudi Arabia.
